Hi , everyone .

It's Kath here from best coffee , and today I'm going to be making some cold brew .

What is cold brew ?

Coffee ?

If you're not sure , you can probably guess from the name that it's a way to make filtered coffee that you drink cold .

There are other ways to make filtered coffee that you drink cold .

Maybe you've heard of cold drip coffee or iced coffee , otherwise known as Japanese iced coffee .

These are different methods , and you'll get different flavours using these methods because the coffee extracts differently .

Today , I'm just going to be focusing on cold brews .

Cold brew coffee is really easy to make .

All you need to do is immerse ground up coffee in cold water .

I'm going to use the Harry Mida to brew mine .

It's a lovely piece of kit , and it's purpose built for cold brew .

My recipe today that I'm going to use is 70 grammes of coffee to a litre of water .

Now I've weighed the coffee out and I've browned it to a medium coarse grind .

Just going to pour this into the philtre .

You can see this is the philtre for the carrier Mida .

OK , and now I'm going to pour in a litre of water , so just pop the lid on , put it straight into the fridge and let it sit in there for 12 to 24 hours .

Because cold brew is made with cold water , different solubles from the coffee will dissolve when compared to brewing with hot water .

So what we're going to end up with is a really nice , refreshing drink that is low in acidity and tastes super smooth .

I've just taken this out of the fridge .

It's been in there for about 18 hours , and all we need to do now is remove the ground coffee so we take off the meat and you remove the philtre .

Now your coffee will be more dense at the bottom , so do give it a good stir , and that's it .

It's ready to be served because your coffee was brewed in the fridge .

It's already chilled , so it's ready to drink straight away .

If you like , you can add some ice tubes as well .

Cleanup is really easy .

All you need to do is knock the grounds out into the bin , Uh , and you can also unclip the base .

Everything is also able to go in the dishwasher If you don't have a Harry moustache at home , don't worry .

You can totally still make cold brew coffee .

Just get a container , grind up your coffee , put it in the container , pour in your cold water and put the whole thing in the fridge overnight .

The next day , just philtre out the ground coffee with some kind of philtre , maybe a paper philtre that you've got lying around and that's it .

You're done cold brew coffee .
