How To Increase Your Height In 5 Minutes (Evidence Based)

Most of you look short because of how you stand and how you dress , you can actually look taller within your genetic potential in just five minutes .

All you gotta do is put all seven tips that I'm gonna show you in this video into practice .

And by the end of this video , you will be at least three inches taller or around eight centimeters , one test to see how bad your posture is .

Most of you don't realize just how much your posture is affecting your height until you run the wall test and you'll know it's working as soon as you just feel how painful it is .

When you get into the right position .

Now to find your right posture , I want you to find a flat wall and then ensure that three points on your body are all touching the wall at the same time .

That's your head , your upper shoulders and your hips look .

This is how most people walk around life note how short you look compared to somebody that has proper posture , your back muscles have become weak from being in the improper position .

So now you're gonna have to retrain them back into that normal state .

So how do you strengthen these weakened muscles to get taller ?

Easy .

I call it the Ys and Ws on that same flat wall .

You just ran that test .

You will be performing slow and controlled Ys into Ws with your arms and you will immediately feel the bird in your upper back as you strengthen the muscles necessary to keep this proper position .

Two wear monochromatic outfits , the fastest way to look taller is to remove any sort of visual disruption .

A monochromatic outfit involves wearing the same colors on throughout the entire output which yes can actually give the illusion of you being taller .

What you don't want to do is wear three different colors , your shirt , pants and shoes as this will create three hard breaks in your outfit visually shortening your length .

This is based on the law of continuity where our brain prefers to perceive lines that are smooth and uninterrupted .

So instead what you want to do is try to get all three of those essential outfit pieces within the same color family .

Black is a popular one .

According to this study , a monochromatic outfit will create an uninterrupted path for your eye to travel , which will make you appear taller .

Confirming my previous statements .

This is exactly why when I design essentials and I start choosing the color palette , I choose colors that I know you'll easily be able to combine .

I try to design within the same color family so you can easily create these monochromatic neutral outfits so you can level up but I get it .

Maybe you don't wanna buy essentials .

You wanna do it with the items you already have in your closet .

Easy , follow three simple steps .

The first one is you want to avoid matching exact colors in your monochromatic outfit .

Instead you want to pick different hues of the same color .

The second one is that you wanna create a subtle contrast using textures .

You can do this by combining different fabrics such as your linen and your cotton and your denim or flannel within the same outfit , within the same color family .

This will add both interest and depth to your outfit and three don't just wear all black , all black is great , but if you wear it repetitively , it will get boring .

So go on social media and find some inspiration , searching for monochromatic looks that are different colors other than black .

We're gonna fix your bad neck posture with us being in front of a computer screen all day or looking down on our phones , we have developed a forward head position or what some people call nerd neck and look having forward head posture .

Not only is it making you shorter , there's also health implications from neck pain to respiratory problems .

Now , the biggest problem here is the angle of your devices because everything is lower than your natural eye of sight , you will then adjust for this by putting your neck in that nerd neck position , correcting this and having your head directly above your spine can easily add another centimeter to your height .

So how do we correct this simple ?

You're gonna start with something called chin tucks .

You're gonna place two fingers at the bottom of your chin .

Then you will push your chin and retracting your head and tucking your chin and then holding that position for around five seconds , you will feel strain around your neck , which are the muscles that you're strengthening .

You can relax and then repeat the process and do around 10 to 20 reps .

The second thing you wanna do is place electronics within your line of sight .

If you work at a laptop , try getting a second screen that sits higher .

So you don't have to look down or if you can't get a second , you can grab a stack of books and place your laptop on top of that with your phone .

It'll feel a little bit uncomfortable .

But instead of looking down towards your phone , I want you to bring your Ford up towards your natural line of sight .

Look so far , we've only gone through three tips and have at least increased your height by three centimeters .

I still got four more that will make you look taller or be tall , which takes us to number four , wear cropped pieces .

A good way to look taller instantly is by using cropped pieces .

This specific I personally designed for our brand essentials with that goal in mind .

But forget essentials , forget any name brand when you're trying to look taller , all your focus should go on the fifth and cut of the garment .

What you don't want is a shirt that's too long .

Anything that goes past the pockets of your pants will be too long and will shorten the visual length of your legs and look .

Yes , it's all visual .

But research has proven that wearing long or bagging clothes can make you look shorter by making your leg look shorter .

Instead , what you want is to buy clothing that sits right at your natural waistline about one inch past the waistline of your pants .

Now , the entire summer collection that I designed for essentials , I kept that on the top of my head .

I wanted all our tops for this summer collection to be perfectly cropped on the body .

So when I would wear them , I would feel as tall as possible .

And so would you when you wear them ?

And now it's finally available if you click the link down below and as you already know , every single lunch product flies fast if you don't check out quickly .

But the way it works is simple , the eye is gonna assume that your torso is only as long as your shirt .

And then it's gonna automatically assume that the rest is just the length of your legs .

That's why it works .

And that's why it makes you look taller .

So how do you buy the perfect cropped piece easy .

I want you to grab measuring tape .

Now , if you don't have standard tape , I always like to use an iphone cable and I want you to measure from the top of your collarbone all the way to the natural waistline of your pant .

And remember go past it about one inch .

Grab that cable , you can then measure that with a regular tape measure and see the exact length you get next go online favorite store no matter what brand it is and look for any t-shirt shirt or jacket and look for their size chart .

You then want to look at the garment length , you want to find a length that is right around that natural crop length of your own body .

Now I'm explaining this to you because this is the exact process that I was using when I was designing every single crop piece for essentials .

I measured 10 different body types on guys the same exact way .

And then I took the average of all 10 to arrive at that perfect crop that just looks great on everyone .

And look , I truly believe I , I created the perfect crop collection from summer from our boxy t-shirt to our Cuban color shirt to our Flowy button down .

I think they're gonna sell out pretty fast and they just drop like I said , if you want to check them out , they'll be linked below five , we're gonna fix your forward , shoulder , forward , shoulders are when your shoulders are moved forward past the body's natural alignment .

This lazy position makes you anywhere from 1 to 2 centimeters shorter .

And it's caused from looking down on your phone , from sitting on a computer all day long or from carrying heavy things .

And if you stay in this position , you not only look shorter , but you could end up developing headaches and arthritis .

But the positive is that if you fix this shoulder position , a man that is in that position is a dominant position , which has been studied .

It's called the Olympic victory stance , which makes you look dominant and taller .

So I'm gonna show you two exercises to overcorrect this forward shoulder and you can look taller .

The first one is the hand clasp to do this .

You're gonna cross your fingers behind your back , you're then gonna pull your arms great while you pull your knuckles down towards the floor .

Now , if this is too uncomfortable , you're not that flexible .

You can use a towel to create some space .

It works just as good .

You then want to push this further by pulling your knuckles away from your rear end , creating that space and truly stretching your shoulders back into that natural position .

You then want to hold this for about 30 seconds .

You can then release and repeat .

The second one you wanna do is the door chest stretch .

You wanna stand in the door frame .

You wanna put one of your arms out to your side and then put your for arm up against the door frame .

You want to ensure that your elbows are at a 90 degree angle and that your triceps are parallel to the floor .

You then will slowly take a step forward and feel the stretch in your shoulders and in your chest .

You then want to hold the stretch for 30 seconds release and do the other arm .

Now , if you tried any of these , as you watched along , you will notice how extremely painful it is , which is a sign of just how bad your posture is and how short you're making yourself look your muscles required to keep an upright posture have been weak and these exercises will help strengthen them to put your body back in that taller state .

Number six , wear straight cut pants , straight cut pants are known by style experts everywhere as one of the best style of pants to lengthen your frame and the opposite is true .

If you choose the wrong cut pan , it can be probably robbing you of a few inches in height .

See if you pick a loose cut pant , that's too long .

Several brakes will start to form which remember it causes interruptions that our brain doesn't like shortens your visual length .

Remember the law of continuity , I mentioned our bray likes long uninterrupted lines .

Instead , what you want to do is go for a pant that's straight cut and sits right above the shoe with no visible brake .

This will create a perfectly straight line along the body which will visually make that area on the body appear longer .

Now to make your pants fit perfectly , grab the pants you want to fix and put on your favorite shoes with it .

Then you will measure your in seam , which is from the top of the inside of the pant all the way to the bottom , which remember the end is the top of your shoe .

Then you measure that amount and take it to your tailor and ask him to tailor that pants in , in seam to whatever number you measured at home .

Now , I promise you this , this will be the most versatile pant in your wardrobe to make you look taller and knowing this , I took this same process when I was designing our new tailored sweatpants , I understand some guys might not want to have to go to the tailor or do this extra step .

So when I designed these new pants , I wanted to make sure they fit this good , which is what you're seeing now , straight out the bag .

And the best part is I did something that's never been done .

This looks like a dress pants , but it's made out of a sweat pan fabric .

It's extremely comfortable .

Those last dress pants that you just saw , we dropped them last time they sold out in two days .

These , they will for sure , go faster if you're not quick enough and buy them today .

Yo , we are six tips and I basically helped you grow about six centimeters .

I have one more tip to go .

But I'm gonna reward those of you that stay to the end .

I'm gonna give you one more bonus tip that will give you an extra inch to your height instantly .

Let's move on to number seven , we need to fix your bad hips .

Most of you never realize this , but your hips are either leaning forward or leaning backwards .

Very few people have the proper position of having neutral hips that sit right underneath the spine .

This is also known as an anterior leaning forward or posterior leaning back type of hip , which could easily be robbing you anywhere from half an inch to 2.5 inches in height .

A neutral pelvic stance can easily give you that extra 1 to 2 inches while also improving any sort of hip pain or lower back pain .

So how do you fix it easy ?

You're gonna do something called the kneeling hip flexor stretch .

I want you to kneel down on your left knee and then your right knee should be directly above your right ankle .

You then want to place your right hand on top of your right leg for stability and keep and maintain your spine perfectly straight .

Then you will gently lean forward while keeping your spine straight you will feel the stretch in your hip flexor and in your thigh hold this for 30 seconds .

You then want to release and then repeat and then switch legs .

Now , here's the bonus route dead hangs .

When you stand up your head and your shoulders apply pressure to your spite , causing the sacks to compress .

You can shrink as much as 1% every single day .

When you finally stand up dead hangs can easily increase your height by 0.5 to one inch and give you that percent back .

A dead hang basically consists of finding a bar where you usually do pull ups and then grab it the bar and just hanging on there while your feet are about 1 ft from the ground .

As this exercise defies gravity , gravity will be pulling down on your spine , decompressing those sacks .

When you stand off , you'll be instantly about an inch taller .

Now .

Yes , results are temporary .

You will compress back down , but it's a good exercise you can do daily in the morning to feel as tall as possible .

Combined with the other seven .
