What's up guys , nerd up desk here .
And today I'm gonna show you how you can get Minecraft on your Nintendo three Ds .
So the great people over at DS Craft have developed their own home brew version of Minecraft .
Now , they may not be in association with Mojang , but that doesn't mean they're not developing a very good competitor or almost the same thing as Minecraft for the three Ds and the Ds , this specific version is compiled for the original Nintendo Ds , but we're going to be using flash cartridges so that we can play them on our three Ds on the go .
What's cool about ?
This is DS Craft is developed by independent developers and it means it's free and it's home , which means anybody can download it and run it on their Nintendo Ds or their Nintendo three Ds in order to play home brew games on your three Ds though , you're going to have to pick up a home brew flash cartridge .
Now , the prices on these range from 20 to $40 us and they can be shipped in from all over the world .
And what it does is it allows you to play unsigned code on your Nintendo three Ds or DS device .
So not only can you play home Brew games developed by indie developers , you can play backup games as well as play music on your three Ds or Ds and a whole bunch of other things that you may not be able to do before .
The two biggest flash cartridges for the Nintendo three Ds right now are the Supercard DS two and the R four I three Ds gold .
So I have reviews uh for each , both of these cars and both of these cards are probably the ones you want to get right now .
They're both available online for relatively low cost and just click the annotation above either one to check it out .
There will also be in the uh description .
But once you actually get your flash cartridge shipped in , it's as easy as installing the firmware on the flash cartridge and then dragging and dropping the uh game file from DS craft , which will be linked below as well onto the flash cartridge and loading it up on your three Ds .
So let's go ahead and check it out .
Ok .
So I have my three Ds loaded here and now we're gonna go in and load up the game .
I'm using the Supercard Ds two for uh this demonstration purpose , but like I said , the other cards work fine .
So we're gonna load it up here .
Uh See we have uh the DS craft make sure that when you copy it over , you're gonna copy over the DS Craft N DS file as well as the Ds Craft folder and you can get more instructions on the website in the description .
So here we go , here's the uh DS Craft and the top is gonna probably stay that dark there .
I'm not sure I'm gonna get that in .
But uh at the uh on the screen , you know , we're looking at DS graphics and you're gonna play this using your stylist .
So we're gonna hit uh the test map that it comes with here , which is just an open world .
Uh The great thing about this is that it does work for uh Arius uses because you're gonna be moving around with the Joy or with the stylist .
You can use , you know , um the circle pad or you can use the uh Xabxy keys to move around and you're gonna be using uh l to place your blocks .
So you can see here moving around the world like this .
Uh You can jump by double tapping on the uh touch pad here .
So you can look around and it's just like Minecraft , which is pretty interesting and you can play this on the go .
So you can place blocks here .
I'm gonna be placing uh just here's a cobblestone .
You can also place torches and it does change the lighting .
So that's pretty cool .
So you can get a uh a , a Minecraft experience .
Is available for the three Ds right now .
You have your inventory and there's a wide variety of blocks such as , uh , we have doors here .
So I'm gonna place the door and , uh , we can check that out here and we can go back to also if you want to take things down .
Uh Let me remove the inventory .
Uh , there we go .
That's how you , you can replace and destroy here .
So there you go .
There's your Minecraft on your Nintendo three Ds .
