Rasmalai cake is a twist on a very popular Bengali dessert .

This is a quick and easy recipe .
Instead , homemade .
I'm using ricotta cheese .
This is also the first milk based dessert I learned after coming to America , I have also done the recipe for microwave milk cake using ricotta cheese .
Rasmalai cake can be served for any festive occasions .
This recipe will serve six to make rasmalai cake we will need for cake .
I need 15 ounce whole milk ricotta cheese , two tablespoons of sugar , 1/4 teaspoon of carbon powder for milk .
We need two cups of whole milk .
Well , a half table spoon of sugar , 1/4 teaspoon of carbon powder for garnishing .
We need few strands of saffron , one table spoon of sliced pistachios and one table spoon of sliced almonds .
So first I'm going to bake the cake .
So I'm going to add the sugar and carbon powder in ricotta cheese and mix it well .
Ok , here is the ricotta cheese , add the sugar and carbon powder and mix it well and whip it for about half a minute .
Ricotta cheese is ready .
I am using five by seven Pyrex pan to bake the cake .
I have already lined the pan with parchment paper .
So now pour the ricotta cheese and they spread it evenly .
I have already preheated the oven at 300 °F .
And I will bake the cake for 35 minutes .
But after 10 minutes , I will cover the cake with the aluminum foil .
While cake is getting ready .
I'm going to prepare the mec for , I'm using the white pan to boil the milk .
As you see , I have wetted the pan and left little water in it .
This prevents milk not to burn .
So , and I will boil it on medium high .
So here is the milk and heat is on medium high .
So keep stirring the milk occasionally and do keep cleaning the sides .
So it doesn't burn or get brown and this , this should take after a boil about 20 minutes .
It has been already 15 minutes .
Milk is boiling .
So and it's as you see , it is almost to a half than what we started with .
So I'm going to add the sugar and carbon powder and just cook for about three or four more minutes and keep cleaning the sides .
Milk is ready and this will be a little more thick after it cools off and it has taken me about 20 minutes after it came to boil .
So I will turn off the heat .
I have taken out the cake from the oven .
It is ready .
As you see , it has started browning a little bit and uh because of the cover , it prevents not browning too much on the top .
So after it cools off to the room temperature , then I will assemble the rasmalai cake .
So I have already taken out the cake from the pan over the serving plate .
So because of this parchment paper , it is much easier to remove the cake .
I'm ready to assemble the cake .
First , I will cut the cake and then pour the milk .
That way .
Rasmalai rasmalai cake will absorb the more milk and then pour the milk .
You should refrigerate the rasmalai cake at least for an hour in the refrigerator .
So the cake has absorbed the milk and uh when you are ready to serve , then garnish it .
But I'm going to garnish it right now .
So first put some best statues and almonds and some strengths of sara which gives the nice color rasmalai cake looks very appealing and it has a beautiful color and beautiful aroma of saffron and car powder .
