The way to a man's heart is through his stomach .
And at home , I have two men , my husband and my son and thankfully both of my men love waffles .
The waffles that I'm going to be making today are extremely easy to make and are filled with the goodness of whole wheat flow .
So let's get started with it into this bowl .
I'm going to put in one cup of whole wheat flour .
I'm also going to put in two tablespoons of corn , flour , corn , starch , 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder .
Got this salt and one gave us some raw sugar .
I'm gonna stir this up until all the ingredients are well mixed together .
Let's keep this aside for a bit and move on to the wet ingredients .
Mhm .
This is about one cup .
250 mil of lukewarm milk .
Luke warm milk is supposed to make the waffles fluffy and into this , I'm going to put in two tablespoons of melted butter and for some flavor , half a teaspoon of vanilla extract .
Now you need to mix all this together as well .
OK ?
The dry ingredients are ready .
The better ingredients are assembled and now is the time to bring them both elements together .
Make a bell in the center like this and then pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients .
The well makes it easy to mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients .
You need to mix this together and beat very lightly .
Make sure that you do not over beat this batter as it gives us dense waffles .
And we're looking for soft and fluffy waffles over here .
I think this needs a little more water .
Different plants have different water absorption capacities .
So you need to access the amount of water used until you get the right consistency .
Now that I've got the consistency that I need it , I'm going to allow this patter to rest for about five minutes .
I'm going to brush my preheated waffle iron with some melted butter using a silicon brush .
And now I'm going to pour the batter right into the center of the waffle iron and evenly distribute the bat at the sides .
This needs to cook for about five minutes or until the waffles are done .
I like my waffles crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside .
This looks just like that .
The waffles are now ready to be served and you can serve them with whipped cream , fresh fruits , jam , maple syrup or honey .
And because these are made with whole wheat flour , they're very good for growing Children and I often pack them in my son's snack box .
And if you like this recipe do not forget to comment , like , share and subscribe .
I'll see you again soon .
