So let me use my new channel as an example to really explain this clearly , which by the way , hi my name is Katie on this channel .

I obviously share social media and content creation strategies and tips .

But in addition to this channel , I have a little side channel .

It's my travel vlog channel that's called Katie and dinner in a van where I create videos with my husband about our travels and living in our self converted van .

So I actually started this channel in 2020 to document the journey of us saving up for and eventually buying and converting our own camper van , which we now lovingly call Vanee .

She's a 2018 Ram Pro master .

And yes , we completely converted her ourselves , which I feel really proud of because we didn't have a lot of diy experience before that .

But since then , we've been to do more international travel .

I've also made travel vlogs of that .

So there's a mix on there , but it's definitely all like travel related .

So using my little baby vlog channel as an example , let's talk about the help hub hero method and what this looks like in practice our help content over there is our how to video .

So people who are thinking about planning their own trips are drawn in by that , but it also presents a little bit of a story or a challenge in a way of like , can we see everything in Rome in just 72 hours ?

That format tends to work really well across travel like as a and it's definitely worked well on our channel .

So here's how this all kind of works together as a strategy hero content is out there on the home page , bringing in new traffic from people who see our viral hits and come to our channel help content is slowly trickling in traffic from search of an audience that is searching for stuff that is applicable to our regular content .

And then the hub content is nurturing that existing community and getting to bring our viewers back week after week and keeping them interested in our content .

Now , obviously , the channel is still just a little baby .

We just recently actually were able to monetize the channel .

So we reached over 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of watch time .

Just in the past couple of weeks , I recently applied to the partner program .

I know it's not viral growth by any means .

But for me , it's certainly faster paced than I grew this channel .

It took me a lot longer to reach 1000 subscribers on here .

Um Yeah .

And I really feel like a lot of people are finding the content through search and home pages and stuff because even though I do mention it on this channel , I know not everybody who watches my videos is all that interested in travel .

Um So I don't necessarily , I think the audience is just coming from me talking about it here though .

Certainly some of you have gone over to the vlog channel , which I appreciate .

Ok , so we understand that framework and hopefully you have a purpose in mind .

A reason why people want to watch your videos from there .

We can actually build out your road map to growth over the next 12 months .

We're going to use this help hub and a hero method to plan out what your content calendar is going to look like over the first through fourth quarters of your next 12 months on youtube baseline for this whole plan is posting one video a week because I really do think that's the sweet spot for seeing some substantial growth .

And I don't think that it's necessarily worth it to post more often than that .

It's a good way to balance , you know , quality and quantity .

I think you should post once a week .

Ok .

So in your first quarter , starting a brand new youtube channel , you've literally 0.0 audience , you need to just start getting some traffic to your channel each month .

You're going to post two help videos and two hub videos .

So basically what this works out to is you could alternate each week , one week you do something that's very seo optimized .

Maybe it's a how to or tutorial , something that your audience might be searching for .

And then the other week you alternate that with your hub content .

So your weekly show kind of showing your personality when you're thinking about what your hub content is going to be .
