We're gonna drop up one my video today .
We're going to be making a spicy tomato y seafood pasta .
It's made with a really simple tomato sauce .
That's most of the items come from your pantry .
Mussels shrimp and spaghetti .
And it's coming from our feast of the seven fishes menu .
And I'm going to show you guys how to make it .
We're gonna take a look at our muscles .
They are pretty clean .
That's because I had the lovely money already clean them for me .
But you want to scrub them , give them a rinse .
I'm just going to take a look and make sure they're in one piece and check for any hairs and pick them out .
Otherwise they're going to fall into your sauce .
And then with the shrimp , I am just going to show how I feel my shrimp .
What I usually do .
I leave the tails on but I'll take scissors , start at the very end and go all the way up to the tail and then I just kind of peel back and then see if there's a vein .
So gross .
Yeah , a large pot to make the sauce .
We have another pot going boiling water for the pasta .
We're going to go medium high heat .
You want the pot large enough so that you could toss the sauce , the pasta , the mussels and the shrimp all together .
We'll add that .
We're gonna cook that down .
You wanted to get soft , you can get a little brown on the edges .
I don't want them too brown , still medium high heat .
And we're gonna let this garlic go just to soften it just to take the edge off a little bit .
Crush red pepper flakes .
We're gonna toast those a little bit too .
Just for like 30 seconds .
You want the oil to extract , you want it to be nice and spicy .
Three tablespoons of tomato paste , we're gonna like cook this down until the tomato paste begins to like split a little like wrinkly .
You're gonna add one cup of white wine like a shiny , that's not true .
That's brad nowadays .
Instead of getting your hands .
Me , I just kind of take a wooden spoon and right away .
Smash them down .
Can you hear me ?
That's fine .
A bit of salt .
We're gonna add some pasta water which will have some salt as well .
We're gonna drop a pound of pasta .
I like to use spaghetti because it's classic .
But I don't know , use whatever long pasta you like , they need to taste like the ocean in your pasta water .
This says the cooking time is 12 minutes .
Take three minutes away from that , it's gonna be very , very al dente and still a little crunchy .
That's because we're gonna finish cooking the pasta in the sauce .
So , we're at a good spot when it comes to our tomato sauce , we're gonna just like , let that be , we're gonna add the Mussels .
We're gonna add the shrimp .
Look at that .
Um , and then we'll add our shrimp .
We'll give them a toss just so they're all coated and then we're gonna top this .
We're going to let these go for about 34 minutes until the Mussels open .
The shrimp is pretty much cooked .
We're going to put them aside and then we're gonna add our pasta cook that in .
Let that go until it's al dente .
And then we'll stir in the shrimp and the Mussels .
We're going to want to give this a shake .
Occasionally your muscle glove open , your shrimp will be pretty much cooked .
They're gonna continue cooking once you add them back into the pasta .
If the Mussels don't open , you pick them out and you throw them away because they dead .

I'm gonna add another quarter cup of the good starchy across the water .
I'm going to bring this to a boil if you want to cook it down until the sauce really starts to attach on the pasta .
If you're gonna add three tablespoons , unsalted butter , that's definitely something a little restaurant to that .
I do .
It makes it a little glossy .
It's a little bit of fat .
It cuts the acidity of the tomato and it's not that much .
This is going to serve like 6 to 8 people .
You're fine .

Get a little bit more salt .
See , stick to the pasta , baby .
We're gonna add about a tablespoon of lemon juice .
Some nice parsley over here .
I'm sorry .
Now this is a big platter of pasta .
I'm gonna have it for myself though .
And I like sesame bread .
I'm making a mess now .
It's tomato .
It's bright but from the lemon , it's awesome .
It's delicious .
It's cheesy as hell .
