Hi guys .
In today's video , I'm gonna show you how to cook the perfect medium rare steak in the oven .
And on the grill start by taking your steaks out of the refrigerator about 20 minutes prior to cooking .
Because when the steak is at room temperature and you cook it , it makes it a very nice and tender and juicy steak also cover the steak with ceram wrap .
So the meat doesn't dry out while sitting outside after about 20 minutes uncover the fake and it's time to season it .
But first preset your oven to bake to 275 degrees .
Place the steak in a baking dish or casserole and season it on both sides with kosher salt and black pepper .
Place your mid thermometer in the middle of the steak and slide it all the way to the bone .
If your steak has one and we like this meat thermometer because it has a base unit that stays with the steak and then it has a wireless unit that you can take away with you .
And it will be whenever your steak reaches 130 degrees , then place the steak in the oven and make sure to leave the base unit outside .
Don't put the unit in the oven as well .
And if you're using wireless meat thermometer , make sure that both units are working and are synced together .
And then you can take the wireless unit and walk outside in the patio and enjoy a cold drink while your steak is cooking in the oven , which should take approximately 20 minutes .
And while your steaks are baking in the oven , preset your grill to the highest temperature setting and you wanna bake your steak until the internal temperature reaches 130 F .
And as you can see here , we have a couple of more degrees to go and go and now take the steak out of the oven and it's ready to go on the grill .
However , if you wanna achieve a really nice sear , you should spread some butter and garlic on both sides of your steak .
As you can see , our grill is preheated all the way up to 500 degrees .
And now we're gonna place the steak on the grill and don't be afraid of the flame .
The flame is just due to the juices of the steak and the butter .
After about two minutes , flip the steak over and grill it on the other side for another two minutes after two minutes , take the steak out of the grill and set it in a cool plate and let it rest for 10 minutes .
And don't cut through it right away because all the juices will pour out , let it sit for 10 minutes and then it's ready to eat and the steak will continue to cook within these 10 minutes .
Then set the steak in a clean plate with a side of your favorite veggies and enjoy .
