Drag Race _ BMW M4 DTM vs Mercedes AMG GTR _ Part 1

This is the Mercedes AM G G T R .

The first AM G that destroys lap times instead of its tires .

It has a four liter twin turbo V eight and reaches 100 kilometers an hour in 3.6 seconds .

But how will it fare in a quarter mile drag race against this one of only 200 in the world ?

The BMW M four D T M with 430 kilowatts or 580 horsepower .

The Merck has an impressive 62 kilowatt advantage here but the Bimmer is only 0.2 of a second slower to 100 kilometers an hour and it has adjustable launch control .

We think the AM G S launch control actually cost it time as it drops the hammer from well over 4000 R PM which left it fighting for traction .

The M four hooked up and quickly pulled about a car length head which forced the AM G to use every extra bit of horsepower to steal the wind .
