Perfect for the morning .
First preheat the waffle iron to your preferred setting .
Then combine your dry ingredients in a large bowl .
Add two cups of flour , one teaspoon of salt , four teaspoons of baking powder and two tablespoons of sugar , stir the mixture and set it aside .
Next melt a third of a cup of butter in a small sauce pan or in the microwave , warm 1.5 cups of milk just enough to take the chill out .
This can be done easily in the microwave and will make your waffles fluffier in a medium bowl .
Beat two eggs and slowly mix in the warmed milk , melted butter and one teaspoon of vanilla extract , pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture and beat it until it's just blended .
Try not to over mix the batter or the waffles will become tough .
A few lumps are ok .
Lightly grease , the preheated waffle iron and pour the batter in spreading it out evenly close the top and cook until the waffles are golden and crisp .
When the waffles are done , gently remove them , then top with your favorite fruit whipped cream or maple syrup .
A breakfast with homemade waffles is easier than you think .
And sure to be greeted with smiles and appreciation .
