What's up guys ?
This is Derek House from DH F DNS dot com .
And today I'm gonna show you guys how to make my protein , banana nut waffles .
So let's get to it .
The first thing we're gonna do is make our own oat flour .
So take out either a food processor or a blender and put in 1.5 cups or 100 and 20 g of rolled oats into it .
And then all you're gonna do is process or blend them until they look like flour in there is your homemade oat flour to make things easy .
I just make the whole recipe inside of the food processor .
If you don't have a food processor , I do post a link in the description below to the exact one that I'm using .
It's only around $25 shipped if you don't have or don't want to use a food processor to make this recipe .
You can just use a large bowl with regular hand mixer instead just make sure to add your dry ingredients in first , mix them together and then add your wet ingredients in now to add in the rest of our dry ingredients .
We're gonna start with two scoops or 60 g of vanilla protein powder .
Four teaspoons of sweetener , 1.5 teaspoons of ground cinnamon , half a teaspoon of salt , 2.5 teaspoons of baking powder and then mix your dry ingredients up for about 5 to 10 seconds .
Once I mix my dry ingredients together , I like to turn on my waff iron so it has some time to heat up .
Now we're gonna add in our wet ingredients .
Starting with one teaspoon of vanilla extract one large egg , half a cup or four ounces of sugar free vanilla coconut milk .
If you don't like or can't find coconut milk , you could use regular milk or any other milk substitute such as almond soy or rice milk .
One large banana , half a cup or 100 and 13 g of fat free cottage cheese .
If you don't like cottage cheese , I promise you you can't taste it at all .
In this recipe .
If you still prefer not to use it , you could use plain Greek yogurt instead and last 1/4 a cup or 30 g of chopped walnuts .
You don't have to use walnuts , you could use whatever nuts you prefer , which definitely sounds pretty weird when you say it , you want to be careful not to over mix .
So once everything looks mixed together , stop mixing .
When I make this recipe in the food processor rather than holding the on button , I just pulse it until everything looks mixed together , coat your waffle iron with some non-stick cooking spray and then pour your mix in and cook it for however long your waffle maker takes once your waffle is done .
Take it off unless you like burnt waffles .
This recipe makes around three , sometimes four waffles .
So just keep making them until there's no mix left .
And there are your protein , banana nut waffles .
As you guys saw the waffles are done .
So now I'm just gonna try a bite .
Three things .
One , they smell absolutely amazing .
Two , they taste like a waffle version of banana nut bread and three .
They are so good that if I were to recommend one recipe for my channel , for anyone to try , these would be it as far as the calories go in the whole recipe .
There's 1197 37 g of fat , 100 and 23 g of carbs and 93 g of protein .
So if you make three waffles , like I did in each waffle , there's around 399 calories , 12.5 g of fat , 41 g of carbs , six and a half grams of fiber and 31 g of protein .
All right guys , I just wanna wish you a happy New Year and thank you for all the support this year .
