Hi , guys .
In this video , we're going to show you how to do a screenshot on a laptop .
Now , in order to do a screenshot , what we must do , we must have something that we want to take a screenshot of .
Now it can be the desktop .
But for argument's sake , we're just going to open up a window and show you something that we could take a screenshot of .
Now , here we have the Google home page .
Um , I purposely not maximise the window so I can show you how this works for something else in a second .
Now it's really easy to do a screenshot .
All you've got to do on this laptop is press the P RT SC key , which is located round about here on this laptop and what we do , we press that key and then that takes a screenshot of the entire view and puts it into the copy and paste buffer .
Which means that when we do come to paste it , we should get a screenshot of what we've just done .
As you can see here , we've opened up Microsoft Word and we right click on the page click paste and there you have a screenshot , easy as that .
Now we'll just delete this and we'll show you another example .
Now , in order to take a screenshot of a certain area , there's something else we need to do .
Once you've got the thing in view that want to take a screenshot of , make sure that the window is selected , that you want to take the screenshot and then press and hold down alt the alt key to the left hand side of your space bar , as you can see here and then press the P RT SC key again .
And that takes a screenshot of the certain window in view .
And you will see that when we go to paste in word again , you will see that it's just taking a screenshot of the window that he wanted to do .
As you can see , it's really easy to do .
I'll just zoom into the the , um P RT SC key so you know where to find it .
As you can see , it's just here on this laptop , and that's the end of this video .
Thank you very much .
