Hi , everyone .
Thanks for joining me for this video .
So today's video will be a short tutorial on how to tie the perfect sash bow .
If you or your bridesmaids are wearing sashes on your wedding day , this quick tutorial will help you ensure that all of your sashes are neat , consistent and really pretty .
In another video , I'll be covering different ways to tie a sash belt .
So stay tuned today .
I'm using a sash made from silk jupon it's about two inches wide and I love this fabric because it creates a beautiful and crisp bow .
But you can do this technique with all sorts of different sashes including chiffon satin or maybe even a simple ribbon position your sash around your waist , ensuring the sash sits nice and flat around you .
I like to have the right side about one inch longer than the left side .
This means that the tails of the bow will be about the same length once it's finished , cross the right side over the left side , like so now you want to grab the side , you just crossed over , which is now on the left and push it under and through to create a cross grab the bottom tail which is now facing downwards and create a little loop .
Using the other tail cross it over under and through trying to keep both lobes as flat as possible .
So now you want to straighten and neat in your bow .
This is a little fiddly , but the aim is to ensure you create a bow that is symmetrical and sits neatly and that's it .
I hope you found this tutorial helpful .
As always .
