Hey , you guys Lynwood here and today , I'm gonna be showing you how to tie the Trinity knot .
And I know what some of you are thinking .
But Lynwood , there's already a Trinity Knot video out .
What are you doing ?
You are so right .
But let me tell you what I haven't seen , I haven't seen a Trinity Knot video where the tail of the tie in behind the tie , most of them end up under the collar , which creates more bulk , which is exactly why I decided to come up with this tutorial .
Mind you , I have a ton of fabric left over .
So this would be great for tall gentlemen as well .
Now , if you're interested , stay tuned , I'm gonna go ahead and take this baby down and we will get started .
Ok ?
So first things first , this is my right side .
This is my left side .
The image has been flipped for your viewing pleasure .
So the blade of my tie which is the large end is on my right side .
When I say right , it's also your right , the tail of my tie , which is the thin side is on my left .
And when I say left , it's also your left .
I have the tip of the blade sitting right at my belt line and I'm going to start by creating my power crease .
I'm gonna do so by just blazing my finger right here in the middle and pinching from the outsides , you're going to pull right into the center and then wrap that tail across the front like .
So from there , I'm gonna come around the back and up through the middle just like this .
So from there , we're just gonna go ahead and bring it down , still on the right side and we're going to wrap around the back like so , all right .
So down on the same side , wrap around the back , we're gonna go ahead and bring it up through the top like so , and then we're gonna come through the backside of this loop on your right .
So I'm just gonna feed the tail directly through here , going ahead and pulling it all the way through .
Now from there , I'm just gonna go ahead and tighten up a bit .
So I'm gonna grab this loop on the left side and pull and then just grab this tail and pull again .
You guys can see how much more attention that gave me .
So from now , I'm gonna go ahead and wrap across the back .
Now , what I want you to see is there's a loop right here that we created , see that loop , that's where we're going .
So we're gonna wrap around the back and we're gonna take all this extra fabric here and I'm just going to take it , it's gonna fold down into this loop .
So we're gonna take the tail , fold it down into the loop .
OK ?
And then from here , I wanna make sure it's nice and flat in the back .
So I'm gonna go ahead and get it adjusted , which means to turn it .
If your seam side is facing the seam side of this one here , you're gonna have a lot of bulk underneath there .
So just make sure that your smooth side is facing the seam on the other side and it'll lay nice and flat for you from there .
I can adjust my tie by grabbing the blade and just pushing up on the knot .
And then if I need to tighten anything , you just go ahead and do so by pulling those extra little pieces there just like .
So from there , I'm gonna go ahead and pull my collar down and there you have it .
The Trinity knot with the tail behind the tie and tons of fabric left over for you .
Tall gentlemen .
And yes , just for those of you who are wondering , it sits right at my belt line .
So hopefully you guys like this video .
