How to Tie the Fishbone Knot for your Necktie

This is my youtube channel and I'm doing how to videos on every single neck time knot known to man and making them for you .

So , subscribe if you want to this time , I'm doing the fish bone knot made by some guy named um Milk and Hagen .

Uh Anyhow , it's very similar looking to the Eldridge , but it's a very different way to tie it .

Um It would be a little bit easier to tie uh not using it up as much length and actually the end product uh doesn't quite look the same , but you know what ?

It still looks very good and very intricate onto itself .

So I'm gonna show you how to tie this fish bone knot .

And uh yeah , let's have a closer look .

So here's another one of those knots that are tied with the little end .

Yes .

I'm a little obsessed with uh tie knots with the little end .

I think it looks really cool and intricate and a lot more creative than a lot of the classic knots that we have available for us , which I'll still be covering .

All right .

So the little end is gonna be the long end , the big end is gonna go just past your belly button and , uh , let's have a closer look at this .

Ok .

So we're gonna dimple the big end and now this is gonna be really easy , uh , doing this knot , we're gonna have three passes that are gonna be about all the same moves .

So just follow along , taking the little end , we'll cross over the big end .

It's gonna come up and through the back of the knot and back down .

And now taking the little end , it's gonna come in behind the front and now taking the little end up through the front of the top of your tie and back down again , this little line is gonna cross over and we're gonna do it again .

So that was past number one back up through the front .

It's gonna cross the back , back up through the knot again .

That's past number two .

Cross across the back up through the front and cross the back shape the way you want to shape it right now .

Mine looks like a mess , tighten it up , holding on to the big end , pulling down on or holding on to not pulling down on the big end .

And the way I've learned it from this , uh , earned milk is he , uh , he tucks in the tail end into a shirt which I haven't seen before .

But nonetheless , there we go .

We've got the fish bone nut different look .

I'm using uh a pretty wide , thick material tie .

So it ends up being quite a big , I'm using a pretty big tie .

So it ends up being a very big knot when it's all said and done .

Um So that's the fish bone knot .

It's pretty easy .

A bunch of layering .
