All recipes member , Stephanie newer says she came up with this recipe for Cinnamon Belgian waffles after trying a few other recipes and combining them into a favorite one for her family .
Begin by preheating your waffle iron to medium heat .
Then into a medium bowl , add two egg yolks .
One teaspoon of vanilla , extract one cup of buttermilk and a quarter cup of melted butter whisk together if you don't have butter , milk , add one tablespoon of lemon juice to enough milk to make one cup and then let it sit for 10 minutes into a separate bowl .
Add one cup of flour , 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder .
A half teaspoon of baking soda , a half tablespoon of sugar , a quarter teaspoon of salt and a pinch of ground .
Cinnamon .
Stir the dry ingredients together and mix into the wet ingredients .
Next , add two egg whites to a bowl and beat together with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form , fold the egg whites gently into the waffle batter .
This will make the waffles especially light and fluffy , lightly grease , the waffle maker and add about a half cup of batter to the center close and cook until the waffles are golden brown .
3 to 4 minutes .
You can tell they're done when the steam coming out of the waffle maker subsides .
