A , what are we gonna draw in this lesson ?
Yeah , we hope you're excited and you're gonna follow along with us .
But before we do that , we wanted to feature one of our awesome art friends .
Check it out .
She did awesome on all of her drawings , didn't she ?
And I especially love that .
She did her little cheerleader drawing with her mom did a great job , didn't they ?
Yeah , I really like her pony .
Yeah , I do too .
We wanted to feature you in this lesson because we love drawing with you and we can't wait to see more of your art .
All right , Austin , what do our art friends need for this lesson and something ?
Yeah .
You ready to start ?
We're gonna draw the kitten's nose right in the middle of our paper .
We're gonna draw a V shape like this right in the middle .
Yeah .
Yes .
And then we're gonna connect the top , then we're gonna draw the mouth .
We're gonna draw a curved w then let's draw you underneath .
It's a happy kitten sticking it set out .
That could be the tongue .
Let's draw another curve inside so that his mouth is open and then we're gonna color the top part .
Now we're gonna draw the eyes .
We're gonna draw two ovals .
I'm gonna draw a big oval over here and a big oval over here .
Oh , I like how big you're drawing ?
You're almost who ?
That is a huge one .
Now , let's draw a circle in the top of each oval .
So I'm gonna draw a circle over here and a circle over here .
You can draw a big circle on that one .
Yeah .
Now we're gonna color in the big ovals but leave the little circles white .
Now , during that part , we fast forward the video but you guys at home can pause the video to take time and color in your eyes .
Now let's draw the top of our kitten's head .
We're gonna draw a curve that goes over the top and see how it ends over the eyes .
Now we're gonna draw the side of our kitten's head .
We're gonna leave a little gap right here and we're gonna draw a curve that comes down and curves back in and we'll do the same thing on the right side curve and then back in kind of a chubby kitten cheeks .
Oh I like yours .
Yours is gonna be really cute .
Now , let's draw the ears .
We're gonna draw big a shape .
We're gonna go up like this and then back down and we'll do the same thing over here on this side , up and back down like it kind of does look like pikachu .
Yeah .
There you go .
Now , inside the ears , we're gonna draw a curve that comes down and connects to the , the cheek or the sideline .
And then we're gonna do the same thing over here on this side .
Now we got the cat's head .
Let's draw the arms holding onto the heart .
So over here on this side , we're gonna draw a sideways u we're gonna come up like this and then curve back in , connect to the cheek and then back in and we'll do the same thing on the other side , we're gonna draw big curve .
You know what , I'm gonna draw this cheek coming down a little further like that and then we'll draw it coming in like that .
So it comes up , touches and if there's a little extra space , you can connect the cheek .
Now this is gonna be his arms hanging on to the heart .
So we're gonna draw a curve that comes back around like this and connects .
Well , not really connect .
It just comes in like it's going to connect .
There you go .
And then do the same thing on the other side .
When you on the bottom over here , I like that .
That's OK because the most important thing is to , yeah , to have fun and to practice , practice and both of our drawings look awesome even though they're a little different , right ?
Yeah .
OK .
Now let's draw the heart that are a little kittens hanging on to .
Now in between these two arms .
I'm gonna draw a curve that goes like this .
It's gonna look like the middle of a heart .
So I'm gonna draw , you can start here , curve down to there and then back over to there .
Yeah .
And then another upside down .
You , you did it .
Now we're gonna complete the rest of the heart .
So I'm gonna imagine it going behind each of the paws like this and coming out the bottom and curving down like that .
So we can start .
Let's start right here .
Curve down to there to the point , the bottom of the heart .
Yeah .
And then we're gonna do the same thing .
We're gonna imagine going through the right paw coming out the bottom and then connecting down and making the point .
So right , right here .
Yeah , right there , curve down and connect .
Look , our little cat looks like he's hanging on to a heart .
OK ?
Now let's try the rest of the body .
We're gonna draw a big U that comes down around and then back up .
Now we need to draw the little legs down here .
I'm gonna draw smaller use connected to the bottom of that big U Yeah .
Now we need to draw the tail sticking out to the side .
Let's draw it , curving .
So like an S curve , we're gonna draw , curving up like this and then back down and then we can do another curve right next to it .
I'm gonna draw a big curve like this coming around and then we can connect it over here with a U .
Those two lines .
All right , Austin , let's add some stripes to our kitten .
We're gonna draw a U up here at the top .
We can draw another U right next to it and another U on the other side .
Also , there's stripes on top of our kitten's head .
Let's draw stripes on the side of his body .
I'm gonna draw a sideways U three of them going down the left side and then I'm gonna draw three stripes going down the right side .
Then let's draw stripes on his tail .
I'm gonna draw a curve at the end of his tail and then I'm gonna draw two more curves right next to that one and then two more next to that one .
What are we missing ?
Austin Whiskers ?
Let's try three lines coming out of his cheeks .
What did that say ?
Three on the left and then let's draw three on the right .
Austin your kitten turned out so cute .
Yours is my favorite .
Now , we still need to do one last thing .
What is it ?
Yeah , we need a color of kittens .
Now , this part we're gonna fast forward one more time , but you guys can pause the video at the end to match the same coloring .
You ready to fast forward a your kitten turned out so cute .
Yours is definitely my favorite .
I especially love the big eyes and I love how round your head is and how big the heart .
Now I added a few extra details to mine .
I changed my heart into a box of chocolates and then also I added three little hearts on each side and went around the whole thing with an outline of pink .
Now you guys can leave that off to keep this lesson a little easier if you want to .
We'll be out a lot .
Join your Valentine's kitties .
Yeah , we do .
We hope you had a lot of fun and we'll see you later .
Our friends .
Goodbye .
