Hi , I'm Gemma Peanut .
Today , I'm gonna share with you why I think the EOS 800 D is one of Cannon's most helpful cameras ever picking up a new camera for the first time .
Used to be scary with all the buttons and dials .
You have a vision of what you want to capture , but you don't know the settings required .
Well , Cannon have just released a new guided display making it super simple , way less technical and helps you learn how to take better photos , check this out .
Now this pup is way too cute not to photograph .
So I'm gonna use him as a mini model and attempt to take a portrait with a beautifully blurred out background .
Let's see how I go .
So I'm gonna set my camera to a V mode .
I'm gonna select blurred , slide the dial across and I'm gonna take a shot , Jennifer Crisp shot with a blood out background .
Now this time I'm gonna try it with a sharp background .
I'm gonna adjust it over to sharp to show you the difference .
Yep , there's a definite difference there .
I don't know about you , but I gotta say I prefer the blood background .
I love shooting the ocean , especially using a long exposure which makes the water look creamy and misty like this .
Now , that might feel a little bit too technical but the good news is , is Canon have come up with a solution to make it super simple for you to achieve this effect without all the technical terminology .
Now all you have to do is shoot in TV mode and then slide the dial to flowing and take a shot .
Now , I just want to point out that I did use an MD filter to capture this .
Now , I love that photo so much .
I'm gonna post it straight to my Instagram using the Connect app and there you have it quick and easy just like the cannon 800 D .
