New_Summer Living Room Refresh_Neutral Decor_Decorate and Clean with Me

Hi guys and welcome back to my channel .

I hope you guys are having an amazing day .

So today you guys in this video , I'm gonna be redecorating and restyling my living room and dining room for summer .

I'm gonna be doing a little bit of light cleaning as well .

So I purchased quite a few new items .

So I want to share with you all in this video , some of the new items that I picked up to redecorate this space .

So starting over here in my entry way , I did pick up these two pieces of art from home goods .

Actually , it came in a set of two for 59 99 .

So the frames are glass , it has a , the frames have a glass front on them and then the frames are gold and black .

So I thought this will fit fit perfectly right here by this little doorway here .

So I did take my large artwork and I did move that to another part of the home .

So I did like you guys suggested .

So I absolutely love um the look and I think that this fits the space a lot better , especially since I have the sofa position here against the window .

Now , next , I'm just cleaning off my , um , artwork here with some spray way glass cleaner .

Usually I use the spray way glass cleaner on all of my mirrored furniture and my glass pieces .

It just really gets it , um , streak free so you can find spray away at Home Goods , Walmart and Home Depot .

They usually have it at a variety of stores , but I love using it because it just really gets all of my mirrored furniture and glass pieces just streak free and clean .

I always get a lot of questions about this fireplace .

This fireplace I had for maybe about three years now .

I did pick it up from over Overstock dot com and I absolutely love it because it does have Carrera marble .

Carrera Marble around the , the frame of it and it is real wood .

It's really nice .

So it adds that nice detail to your living room , especially when you don't have a fireplace already built into your home .

Now , one of my new pieces that I picked up was this gorgeous coffee table here .

I picked it up from a website called Bella Decor .

I absolutely love it because it has a gold detail in the , in the , in it .

And then it also has acrylic leg .

So it's similar to the handles that I have on my credenza on the opposite side of the room .

But I thought that adding a little bit of more pop of gold in here would kind of transition the space a lot better .

So I switched out my coffee table and brought and bought this one and then I moved my other one into my family room .

Now here on my fireplace mantel , you'll see me just using my Mrs Meyers multipurpose spray .

I absolutely love this stuff because you can use it on a wide variety of surfaces .

And then this is one of their summer scents .

This is in the scent rose , which smells amazing .

Now , I hope you guys had a beautiful Mother's Day weekend .

I know I'm late .

So I did take a much needed break from um just social media because been everything just been really busy around here , especially with work and everything .

So I hope you guys enjoyed your Mother's Day .

I wanna say Happy Mother's Day to you all and I hope you enjoyed your weekend .

So here you see me just adding these vases here or these vases I got from home goods as well .

I love the shape of these .

I thought it was unique and different .

So , um I think the company name of the company is called .

So I thought this would be perfect to add in these beautiful pussy willow uh , flowers that I got from Hobby Lobby .

Now , these flowers , I absolutely love the texture on it .

I love the branches and then I think that this can kind of carry me over until fall as well .

So I absolutely love it .

So I'm just gonna add these branches to this tall vase .

And I think this taller vase was , I wanna say , like maybe $20 or something like that .

And then I did get a smaller one that was like 14 , 99 as well .

Now , these stems were definitely , um , were not cheap .

They were like , at least , I believe they were $21 each for each stem .

So , if you can catch these on sale , definitely try to wait until Hobby Lobby has their 50% off sale .

So you can catch these stems on sale because they are quite pricey .

And then you see me here just bending the stems a little bit , maybe like 1/4 of the bottom of it is bent just so that it's not too tall .

So it will be able to fit into the vase and give me the look that I want .

Now , I'm just gonna pair it with the smaller vase here and then I'm just gonna add in my second ginger jar to the left side of the fireplace .

I picked that up from home goods as well .

I'm just gonna add in these coffee table books that I picked up from Amazon .

Then also I'm gonna add in this little figurine is also from Amazon as well .

It's called the Thinker Statue .

I thought that would be perfect to put on here on the mantel as well .

And then I'm just gonna add in this little greenery that I got from Amazon as well .

So everything that I have a link to , I'll link it down in the description box below .

Now , I'm just gonna go ahead and style my coffee table .

So I found this glass box at , um , Target and I absolutely love it .

Now , this one you can use for add some fresh flowers in there as well .

It'll be absolutely stunning .

So I'll probably do that as well .

Right now I just adding in these f stems that I got from Hobby Lobby just to add a pop of greenery , just gonna add in some coffee table books and those little decorative glasses I got from home goods as well as that little marble , um , chain link .

And then I found this cute little tissue box from Amazon as well as gold and I thought it would look really perfect on my coffee table or a side table .

So I'm just adding it here to the bottom of my table and then at the bottom , I'm just gonna add in some coasters to complete the look .

Next .

I'm going to change out some of my pillows on my sofa .

Now I'm not gonna change out those tan colored ones .

I absolutely love those , but I'm gonna take these yellow ones off and swap these off , swap these out for a different color .

And then I always want to , you always want to rotate your pillows as well .

So I'm gonna rotate these pillows and I'm also going to clean out any gunk that may be at the bottom of the sofa because sometimes it gets crumbs and things like that at the bottom .

So I'm just gonna take my vacuum cleaner and clean out .

Um , the crevices of the sofa .

I always had a lot of questions regarding my vacuum cleaner that I use .

It is a Dyson , I believe it's the G7 .

And then this sofa always gets so many questions regarding my sofa .

I absolutely love it .

It is the Candice Sofa by Bernhardt .

I did pick it up locally at a local furniture store .

Um , but you can try to search for a vendor in your area .

You may be able to find it online .

Um I'm not sure I know at one point , Wayfair did have a similar sofa , but I will definitely check out your local furniture stores or anybody that carries a Bernhardt brand and see if you can purchase it that way .

So next , I'm gonna change out these pillow covers .

So I tried not to buy a bunch of tossed pillows anymore .

I tried to just to do pillow covers because it's just more cost effective .

And plus it's just easier to store them instead of the pillows .

So I purchased these gorgeous pillow covers online .

I'll have them linked down in the description box below if you're interested .

But one way to get a full pillow .

These pillow covers that I order are in the size 22 by 22 but I'm using a 24 by 24 pillow insert .

So if you want to get that full look , you always want to size up your insert for your pillow cover .

So if you get a 24 by 24 pillow cover , you want to add in a 26 by 26 pillow insert just to give you that full plush look .

So as you guys can see here , I love decorating with patterns .

So I found these pillow covers online .

I absolutely love the subtle gray and the uh the pattern that it has on there .

I think it looks really nice .

So I'm just gonna pair it with these little tan ones that I have those tan ones I actually got from an Etsy shop .

I'll have those linked down in the description box below if you guys are interested .

But for summer , I kind of want to have more of a relaxing .

Just kind of go back to my neutral basic because I want this color or this look to kind of carry me into fall .

So that way when fall comes , I don't have to do a lot of changing around of things .

I'll just kind of incorporate a little pieces here and there .

Now I'm just gonna change the pillows on my wing back chairs .

I did pick up these wean back chairs from Ashley furniture .

Found these beautiful chocolate pillow covers online as well .

I love the crocodile print that it has on there .

It's a really soft velvety touch .

So I wanted to add in a touch of brown to the space one way to elevate your space .

Especially when you're decorating .

This neutrals is try to add in some contrasting colors .

I think when you add in a touch of black , a touch of brown just to kind of or , or even if you add it in a pop of color to kind of balance out some of the neutral , it kind of elevates your space and it won't make it look so boring .

So I always encourage you to try to add in some contrasting color with your neutrals as well .

Now I'm gonna add in this throw .

This is a Chanel throw that I got from home goods .

It's just a nice little gray and it has a little fringe detail at the bottom and I'm just gonna add it to the arm of my sofa .

So this is the finished look of the living room area .

I absolutely love the way my furniture is placed like this .

I really love that .

It opens up the living room more .

So I'm gonna leave this look throughout the fall and especially during Christmas time .

So you guys know I always have to finish off with a room freshener .

So I picked up a new one from Target and this is by the heart and hand collection .

It's called metal .

It smells amazing and very uh inexpensive as well too .

So now I'm just gonna go ahead and vacuum up my carpet .

But my rugs , I always get a lot of questions regarding this rug .

This rug , I absolutely love it .

It is very affordable for the deep , the quality that you get .

And I did pick it up from the at home store and I believe they do still have it available .

So I'll have it linked down in the description box below .

Now I'm gonna go over here and redecorate my entryway and I'm just cleaning off my mirror .

I did pick this mirror up from Target a while ago and then I'm gonna be using that same rose multipurpose spray in the Mrs Myers brand to clean off my Credenza .

The credenza I did receive from a collaboration from a company called home dot com .

So I'm just gonna um I did swap out my lamps and add in these lamps back to this space .

I know I go back and forth but I thought that um this will look better on this side .

So these lamps I did pick up from home goods , they have like this class detail in the center and then it has that gold base at the bottom , which in really nicely with the look .

Next , I'm gonna add in this orb looking thing I got from Ross .

I absolutely thought this was really cute .

It has a marble base and it just have a circular orb around the top .

I wish they would have had a smaller one to kind of pair with it , but they didn't .

So I'm gonna add in this gone vase that I got from hung .

Now it was soil when I purchased it , but I did spray paint it gold just to tie in the look .

And then I'm just adding these , um , what are these things called ?

Um These alliums , I'm just gonna add in these decorative faux alliums that I picked up from Target .

And then these little sprigs of like palm leaves came from Target as well .

Please know what it's a risk cause you're here .

I will see Chris I can is then next , I'm gonna add in a decorative candle .

This little candle holder came from Inspired me home decor dot com .

You guys have seen me use this candle holder a million times before .

I absolutely love it .

And I'm just gonna burn this candle in the scent of Gardenia , which smells amazing and I don't want us in the shade .

So , but I , and then I'm just gonna add in my decorative butterfly um candle snuffer that I got from Macy's .

Now on this side of my , in my dining room area , this wall or this Credenza area has changed a little bit as well .

I did purchase these new gorgeous lamps from lamps .

Plus I absolutely love them .

They're just So my style , so very chic and very um elegant .

So I got two of these .

So I have these linked down the description box below as well .

But I love the detail on the bottom and then I love the black and gold contrasting together .

It just looks really nice and elegant .

So I thought these would be perfect for my credenza over here on this side of the room .

So next , I'm just gonna add in my acrylic tray .

Then I added some coffee table books and then that little bust there that I got from um Burlington , the coffee table books came from Amazon and then my tray came from CB two .

Now these little vases you see me adding here or vases .

However you want to say it to the left , I actually picked these up from home goods , but the gallery has the same ones just a lot more expensive .

So if you can find them , definitely try to snatch them when you see them at um Home goods .

And then I just added in a small little picture frame of my kids on the left side .

Now , in this corner , I add in this vase here that I got from the gallery with some faux cherry blossom stems .

Now moving on to my dining room area , I'm just gonna do the same thing over here just cleaning everything down , but I can help and then I'm just using my same all-time purpose spray to clean off my dining room table and my dining room table .

I did pick up from Wayfair .

I absolutely love it .

It did come in this kind of light color wood and it also came in a dark colored wood as well .

And then the chairs itself came from home goods .

Once you see all the places mean is that you come home to me .

Once you've tried , I'm just gonna add in this decorative bowl to the center .

I did pick this up from the gallery .

Only thing it is , it wasn't um gold , it was silver .

I end up spray painting it gold .

I don't even know if they have a gold version of this because I had this bowl quite for quite a while .

But they may have a gold version .

But if I can find the link , I'll have a link down in the description box below and then I'm just gonna go ahead and vacuum up this side of the room .

Now , I did get a new plant .

I absolutely love this plant that I purchased .

It is a real one .

This is a um a large piece Lily .

So I just put it in that gold pot , which I think looks perfect over there in this little space here just to have some type of some type of decor piece between the dining room and the living room .

So I think it looks really nice there .

You're sorry , the noise .

I was just all this been amazed that you home to me once you tried all this baby .

So now I'm just gonna go ahead and take my vacuum cleaner and vacuum up my floors .

Now I will go ahead and mop everything off camera , but I will be giving you guys just a little mini tour of the space um at the end of the video .
