here is a recipe that really takes me back to my childhood , and it's something everyone should know how to make .
It's really simple to do .
What is it ?
It's macaroni and cheese , and you can get the ingredients for this recipe in the comments section below this video .
OK , To start , we need to preheat our oven to 100 and 80 °C , then get yourself a sauce bin that's big enough to hold 300 grammes worth of your macaroni pasta .
Fill it up with some boiling water so the pasta's just about covered and then simmer away for about 10 minutes .
Or however long .
The packet says .
So whilst the pasta's cooking away , we're now gonna make the cheesy white sauce , so get yourself another SARS spon and pour in 50 grammes worth of butter and 50 grammes worth of plain flour .
Then , using a wooden spoon , stir the two ingredients together until it all comes together nicely over a low heat .
Once the flour and the butter are combined , you then need to pour in 650 millilitres worth of semi skimmed milk .
Then get yourself a whisk and continually whisk the mixture over a low heat for about 10 minutes to give it a chance to thicken up nicely .
And whilst you're doing that , your pastor should have finished cooking .
So take it off the heat and then pour it through a colander to drain out the hot water , Then simply set it aside to cool .
Now back to the white sauce , and after 10 minutes , it should have started to thicken up nicely .
So we now need to get our 250 grammes worth of grated cheddar and take half of that and put it into the sauce .
Spoon with the white sauce .
Get your whisk again and use it to mix the cheddar into the sauce over a low heat until it's all melted in .
And then you should have something that looks like this .
Take the sauce off the heat and then set that aside along with the pasta .
And now for the final ingredient , we're gonna prepare the bacon .
Simply get your four rashes of bacon with a sharp knife and cut it all into Cho .
Then get yourself a frying pan .
Stick some oil in and heat it up , and then over a medium heat cook the bacon for about five minutes .
Once your bacon's done and it's just started to turn crisp on the edges , we can then get all of the ingredients and put them together .
So get yourself an oven dish , which is big enough to fit everything in and start by pouring in the cooled pasta .
Then put in the bacon that we've just cooked , followed by all of that lovely , cheesy white sauce .
Using a spatula , be sure to scrape out all of that sauce that we've made from the sau spon over the pasta and then , using a wooden spoon , thoroughly combine all of the ingredients in the oven .
Dish together until it's all mixed in .
Now get the remainder of the cheddar cheese left over from earlier and evenly Sprinkle it all over the pasta , and this will help it crisp up nicely when it's in the oven and last but not least , get your handful of Parmesan shavings and evenly spread it over the cheese so it's now ready to bake in the oven .
Once it's preheated to 180 °C , put it on the middle shelf and leave it in there for between 25 and 30 minutes .
Keep an eye on it and make sure you take it out once it's started to crisp up nicely on the top and start it to go golden brown .
Serve immediately , and that is how to make my really simple macaroni and cheese .
